Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend 2010

Friday, October 1  9:58 a.m. -- Complanaint said a Corvette sitting at the junction of Rock House Rd. and US 62 was a traffic hazard. Vehicle was gone before officers arrived.  10:39 a.m. -- Complainant from a bar and grill on S. Main said someone in the parking lot was stopping street traffic so motorcycles could exit the lot. An officer told the business to desist, and said any further complaints would be grounds for a citation.    Saturday, October 2  6:01 a.m. -- Caller said a leather jacket had been run up the flagpole at the courthouse.  7:47 a.m. -- A Corvette parked in the trolley lane was towed to Johnson's.  10:05 a.m. -- Caller reported someone tossing their garbage in the dumpster at a VanBuren grocery store and asked for extra patrols to watch for the daring dumper.


  Trip Notes:  For the most part we had a pretty good trip this year with no major car problems.  On the way into town on Thursday we did run into a car and motorcycle wreck on Highway 62.  This forced us to turn around and take Highway 23 into town via the one lane bridge.  We had never been over the bridge, so it turned out to be a fun, scenic trip into town.  After 9 years of attending the ESCW, we decided to try the poker run this year. We had a blast, and we will be definitely doing this event in the years to come.
